Step into the role of an Imperial pilot with the Star Wars™ TIE Fighter™ from UGears’ licensed Star Wars™ collection. Known as the Twin Ion Engine Fighter, this ship, with its spherical cockpit and distinctive hexagonal wings, has become one of the most recognizable starfighters in the galaxy. Swift and deadly in large numbers, TIE Fighters™ strike fear, whether dogfighting rebel X-wings or delivering firepower in planetary assaults.

This DIY 3D model is crafted from colorized plywood and includes both the starfighter and its own display base styled after the Death Star’s surface. The TIE Fighter™ connects magnetically to the stand, allowing easy attachment and removal. A discreet battery-powered motor hidden inside the base provides smooth side-to-side motion, imitating the ship’s in-flight maneuvers. Two movable laser cannon turrets swivel to track enemies, while the top hatch of the cockpit opens to reveal inner detailing. Cardboard wing inserts add structure and authenticity.

Power options include three AA batteries (not included) or a USB Type-C connection (power banks and cable not included). Even better, the stand is designed to pair seamlessly with the UGears Luke Skywalker's X-Wing™ model stand, recreating the dramatic Trench Run scene from Star Wars™: A New Hope (1977) when displayed together.
